Electronic Forms Designer/Technical Writer
Layout and data mapping of electronic forms for software development/consulting firm supporting financial institutions nationwide. Write a variety of technical manuals for company software and processes targeting a wide range of users.
Position requires precision, accuracy, strong attention to detail, excellent work stability, and a team player who desires to learn and grow with the organization.
In addition, the candidate must possess the following skills:

Expertise with all primary business software tools.

Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers and company personnel.

Ability to write in a manner that is understandable to a non-technical audience.

Interpret, evaluate, and respond to problems and requests received from business users in a timely manner.

Ability to proofread own work essential.

Receive feedback and make necessary edits until each document is complete.
-
Ability to handle single source documentation targeted towards a variety of users.

Ability to successfully multi-task and change gears quickly is crucial.
-
Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
-
Accountable for accuracy and deadlines.

Self-motivated with the ability to follow established procedures.

Effectively work individually or in a team environment.

Fast learner that retains knowledge gained, yet highly adaptable to changing environment.

Database structure knowledge a plus.

Experience in banking/financial setting a plus.

Experience with HTML and CSS a plus.

JetForm Design/Adobe Output Designer and proprietary data mapping language

Adobe Acrobat and ASP

MadCap Flare
Duties:
-
Proofreading - Check accuracy of own forms and documents, as well as other’s.
-
Contact with both clients and vendors via phone and email. Must be able to extrapolate needs from what is said during phone conversations and what is not said in emails.

Form Designer
-
Design layout - Create form, includes placing graphics, drawing lines and boxes, typing static text, placing data fields.
-
Data mapping - Define data items to be placed on form, map data items to corresponding form fields.
- Form testing with test account data - Test form on company system prior to implementing form at client site. Verify data placement and accuracy.

Technical Writer:
-
Write, edit, and revise software documentation for internal and end users.
-
Capture and manipulate screen shots to clarify documented processes.
-
Understand and interpret highly technical program specifications and processes.
